Guest Program
Monday, September 24
The Guest Program begins Monday, when HEEP Guests will travel to Nebraska City, Nebraska's Arbor Day City.
The morning will begin with breakfast at the hotel. Once loaded on the buses, the group will travel 60 miles to Nebraska City, NE. Our first activity will be a hayrack ride and movie at the Tree Adventure Center.
After lunch at the scenic Lied Lodge, guests will tour the Arbor Mansion.
To conclude your time in this unique and beautiful city, you’ll have the opportunity to shop at the Apple House Market and participate in a wine tasting of locally produced wines.

Tuesday, September 25
Tuesday's HEEP Guest tour boasts some of the most historic and unique spots of Lincoln, our Capitol city.
After breakfast in the hotel, guests will be able to walk across the street to Nebraska’s State Capitol, the only statehouse in the United States that houses a unicameral legislature. The tour will conclude with a visit to the 15th floor observation deck at the top of the building.
After perusing the gift shop at the Capitol, we will head across the street for a relaxing lunch overlooking the Capitol building.
After loading onto the buses, we will travel to the University of Nebraska’s East Campus to visit three of their most unique and interesting destinations: First, the University of Nebraska's International Quilt Center, next, a visit to the East Campus Greenhouse, and concluding the day with a sweet treat from the East Campus Dairy Store.

Wednesday, September 26
On Wednesday, HEEP Guests will travel to Omaha, Nebraska’s largest metropolitan city.
Breakfast on Wednesday will be at the hotel. After a 60 mile bus ride, Guests will participate in a tour of the historic Joslyn Castle. This 5.5 acre spread houses the seven million dollar, 115 year old mansion and impressive grounds.
From there, we will visit St. Cecilia Spanish Cathedral. This Cathedral was the 10th largest at the time of its construction (1905) and is the cathedral church of the Archdiocese of Omaha.
To conclude this day’s events, Guests will travel to Omaha’s Lithuanian Bakery for tortes & coffee. This Omaha landmark has been serving the Omaha area for 40 years and is famous for its breads and nationally-acclaimed tortes.

Thursday, September 27
At the conclusion of Thursday morning's breakout session, HEEP Delegates and Guests can unwind with an afternoon trip to the nationally recognized Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. At this laid back event, Delegates and Guests will have the opportunity to interact with animals and take in some of the Zoo's most exciting attractions. Upon returning to Lincoln from the Omaha Zoo, Delegates and Guests are welcome to stay for an outdoor patio dinner in Lincoln's Historic Haymarket District.
