"3D Modeling from Photographs" Reality Modeling With ContextCapture

In this workshop the user will learn how to capture imagery from various sources and work to complete reality models at various stages of completion, including creating georeferenced models from imagery provided.

"Explore Conceptual Design Options with Real-world Data and Cost Analysis"

Monday: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

In this hands-on course you will use OpenRoads ConceptStation to create a new project, import data from multiple sources, create and edit roads and bridges, place city furniture, and visualize the project. OpenRoads ConceptStation is all about speed and ease of use. It allows to easily prototype design alternatives, allowing to conceptualize an idea in the morning and present to your stakeholders in the afternoon. It helps creating initial feasibility studies for multiple scenarios in less time.

"The Missing Link: modelling and evaluation of subsurface information for geotechnical and civil applications"

From site investigation planning to 3D modelling of geotechnical strata at a site to 2D and 3D presentations of subsurface data, geotechnical and civil engineers have long since found a way to get it all done. Often in a multi-step, convoluted process. This workshop will show attendees how to do it all in gINT Civil Tools. Users will learn how to combine geotechnical data with GIS maps, site maps, and terrain models. Attendees will learn how to create a site drilling plan based on a gINT project, and also create 3D models once the investigation is complete in a MicroStation environment using data already in gINT. Export/import procedures are eliminated. Subsurface modeling is quickly done with a few mouse clicks, and cross section creation is performed using tools already known to MicroStation users.

"3D Intelligent Bridge Modeling – What is it, and how can I do it today?"

How to develop intelligent, 3D, parametric bridge models within the context of an overall highway project with Bentley’s OpenBridge Modeler. Easily manage changes with built-in, user-defined relationships among bridge components and reference DGN models throughout the lifecycle of the bridge. This session will cover bridge modeling with OpenBridge Modeler, and how roadway engineering data is integrated from OpenRoads as well as transferred directly into LEAP Bridge and RM Bridge for design and analysis. Attendees will learn how to leverage OpenRoads geometry data (terrain, alignments, profile, and superelevation) in bridge projects, layout a multi-span prestressed girder bridge using standard AASHTO beams, and define the bridge substructure.

"Integrated Modeling, Analysis and Design Of Steel Bridges and Segmental Box Bridges"

Learn how to model steel beams, and segmental box bridges within a traditional interchange configuration using OpenBridge Modeler. The workshop will present how to evaluate multiple bridge options by performing alternative designs with parametric updating. After creating the bridge model with OpenBridge Modeler, learn how to generate geometry and quantity reports, and connect to Bentley's analytical software (LEAP Bridge Concrete, LEAP Bridge Steel, and RM Bridge) and evaluate the design requirements and evaluate constructability issues in the earliest stages. We will present how to verify vertical and horizontal clearances and publish an i-model for further connectivity with Bentley Navigator and other field applications.

"Accelerate Project Delivery with 3D Intelligent Modeling for Detailed Design "Part 1"

Discover how OpenRoads Designer combines traditional engineering workflows of plan, profile, and cross-sections with innovative 3D modeling technology enhanced by parametric design features. This workshop will highlight how OpenRoads improves the model’s behavior and ability to react to design changes. • Ensure the project is designed as expected using design intent with automated decisions based on parametrics, relationships, and constraints resulting in increased productivity and higher-quality designs.
• Enhance subsurface reporting for soils, borelogs, lab tests, and more while increasing productivity and supporting better decision making.
• Access a robust subsurface utilities design and analysis (SUDA) toolset for building intelligent 3D feature-based models of the buried construction zone to help you readily identify conflicts during design phase to help mitigate risk during construction.
• Use LumenRT to enliven models with life and nature, and produce attention-grabbing visuals.

"Gain insight into civil projects within the context of 3D models to make better decisions throughout the lifecycle, in the office, field, or on-site. OpenRoads Navigator supports teams working better together to speed approvals and resolve issues during design, construction, and operations. The product integrates with ProjectWise to support collaboration with all team members for faster resolution of issues in the field.
• View, analyze, and enhance a wide variety of project information, including terrain, 3D models, and 2D topographies.
• Combine design elements with pay item tracking for field inspection.
• Search and filter models based on attributes such as feature definition or geometric criteria.
• Locate model elements, station / offsets, and embedded properties to perform tasks quickly in the field."
